What Your Hypnotherapy Session Will Look Like
Step 0 (First Session Only): The Theory of Mind
In your first session, we’ll introduce the Theory of Mind, a powerful framework to help you understand how the subconscious works—and why lasting change requires more than just willpower. This insight lays the foundation for everything we’ll do together.
Your first session is 90 minutes to allow plenty of time for connection, questions, and exploration. All sessions after that are 60 minutes.
Step 1: We Talk About Your Goal
We’ll begin with a conversation about what you’d like to work on—stress, fears, habits, confidence, motivation, or anything else on your mind. You’ll have space to share openly, and we’ll work together to define your goal clearly.
The clearer the goal, the more powerful the session can be.
Step 2: We Explore What’s Beneath the Surface
We’ll gently explore the roots of your challenge. When did it start? How is it affecting your life? What patterns or beliefs might be keeping it in place?
This exploration helps us craft a personalized hypnotherapy experience, using words and imagery that resonate deeply with you.
Step 3: We Enter Hypnosis
When you’re ready, you’ll get comfortable—sitting or lying down, camera on, and headphones in if possible. We’ll guide you into a deeply relaxed, focused state that feels a bit like a meditative daydream.
Your conscious mind stays aware, but quiets enough for us to access the subconscious—where real, lasting change begins.
Step 4: We Work With the Subconscious
While in this state, we’ll introduce suggestions and imagery aligned with your goals. These may help reframe old beliefs, strengthen new ones, or release what’s no longer serving you.
Everything is done respectfully, safely, and with your full awareness. You’re always in control.
Step 5: We Return and Reflect
You’ll be gently guided back to full awareness. We’ll take a moment to talk about what came up, and how you’re feeling.
Step 6: Reinforcement Between Sessions
After our sessions, we’ll provide you with a personalized audio recording of the suggestions given during hypnosis. Listening to this in the days that follow helps reinforce the new ideas and beliefs introduced to your subconscious—making integration easier and more natural.
Depending on your goals, we may also recommend practical tools, techniques, or exercises to support your transformation between sessions. These might include journaling prompts, breathing practices, or self-reflection strategies.
Step 7: You Start to Feel the Shift
Many clients notice positive shifts after just one session—more calm, more clarity, or a lighter emotional load. Some changes unfold over time, as the subconscious integrates what was introduced.
You don’t need to force anything. Your mind and body already know how to do the work. We’re just creating the conditions for it to happen—with expert guidance and a clear path forward.
What We Need From You
To get the most out of your session, it’s important to create a safe, quiet space where you can fully relax and focus. Here’s what we ask of you:
- Be in a private space where you won’t be interrupted. This could be a bedroom, home office, or any quiet place you feel safe.
- Do not drive or multitask during the session. Hypnotherapy requires your full presence.
- Silence your phone (unless you’re using it for the Zoom call, although we highly recommend a computer with no notifications) and let anyone else at home know you’ll be in a session.
- Use headphones if possible for better sound and deeper focus.
- Have a glass of water nearby, and feel free to get cozy—blankets and soft lighting are welcome.
This setup allows your nervous system to relax and your subconscious mind to open—creating the ideal conditions for lasting change.
